Abstract

Energy plays a crucial role and has a significant impact on a country’s socio-economic development. Renewable energy is considered the energy source of the future, in which solar energy, among others, is the primary source. With approximately 300 sunny days per year, equivalent to over 5 million billion kWh annually, and an average solar radiation intensity of 4-7 kWh per square meter per day, India has immense potential for solar energy development. This article analyzes the potential and current state of India’s solar energy development, assesses its solar energy prospects up to 2030 and provides some implications for Vietnam.
