Physical Capital of the Resettled Community under the Ban Ve Hydropower Project in Nghe An Province

Abstract

The Ban Ve hydropower project, which was aimed to promote the socioeconomic development in Nghe An province, has benefited greatly local people, particularly the Thai and the Khmu communities. Their life was gradually improving after the resettlements. The government’s policies and international support have been focused on building natural capital, financial  capital, and  more importantly physical capital to restore  the people’s livelihoods and ensure the success of the development project.
