The status of starting business and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Vietnam in 2017

Abstract

Based on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), the paper outlines a broad picture of starting a business in Vietnam throughout stages from potentiality to actuality and from early-stage to steady growth. In addition, it suggests an analytical framework for the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Vietnam, as well as recommendations for the improvement of the ecosystem and the promotion of the entrepreneurial activities in Vietnam in the coming years.
