Vietnam’s Public debt management today and some solutions

Abstract

Policies on public debt management have become an important part in the fiscal system of a country. Crisis on European public debt management is an alarm for countries that are facing with this issue. Vietnam public debt management, majorly external debt, has significantly increased recently.  The possibility of being in crisis will be extremely high if there is no proper management.  The figure is estimated at 60-65% of Vietnam’s GDP by 2015 and this debt amount might pass the safety level based on the international standards. The article has summarized and suggested some solutions to improve the public debt management for current period.
