Khmer Ethnic People’s Participation in Building New Rural Areas in the Mekong Delta: Current Situation and Raised Issues

Abstract

Current theoretical research on development, guidelines and policies of the Party and State of Vietnam emphasize promoting the participation of ethnic minorities in all fields of social life, especially in development policies. Utilizing the results of a practical survey conducted in 2022, the article highlights the current status of Khmer ethnic people’s participation in building new rural areas, and analyzes some issues related to their involvement in the process in the Mekong Delta.
