Sea shipping, among others, plays a significant role in the global supply chain and freight transport. It greatly affects the competitiveness of export-oriented economies like Vietnam. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused disruptions to the global supply chain, placing the global shipping industry in a new crisis. As a maritime country with great potential for developing marine business, expanding container shipping fleet in Vietnam is considered a solution to improve the national competitiveness and strengthen the country’s exports in the global supply chain.
