Application of the CORS stations system to subsidence observation and periodic adjustment of elevation value

Abstract

The fact that application of GNSS technology requires development of a complete geodetic infrastructure, in which the CORS stations system is an indispensable multi-purpose infrastructure, which has been developed in many countries around the world and Vietnam is no exception. Based on studies on CORS stations system, GNSS static survey technology for determining geodetic height, the current situation of subsidence of elevation benchmarks in Vietnam, the paper proposed a measure of using the CORS stations system in periodic observation to determine the subsidence of the national elevation benchmarks in delta areas with weak ground, with phenomenon of large-scale subsidence and from that to adjust the leveling height to meet the requirements for construction projects in socio-economic development.
