Abstract

The paper presents the development of surveying and mapping technologies in Vietnam under the direct influence of scientific and technological development. The surveying and mapping technologies have been significantly changed in creating and maintaining the modern technical infrastructure; capturing, processing and supplying products, geospatial data with high accuracy, rich information to quickly and effectively respond to the requirements of study, planning, territory management, socio-economic development, national defense and security assurance and to cope with the climate change and to improve the public awareness
