This paper presents a procedure for calculating wind-induced acceleration responses of tall buildings in accordance with ASCE 7-22[1]. Based on this approach, acceleration limits for serviceability and occupant comfort are evaluated using the criteria proposed in ISO 10137:2007 [2] and the design guidelines provided by ASCE (2019) [3]. The proposed methodology is applied to assess wind-induced comfort for a 23-story reinforced concrete building located in Hanoi, Vietnam. The results indicate that the calculated acceleration responses satisfy the prescribed comfort limits, highlighting the importance of considering wind-induced acceleration criteria in the design of tall buildings in Vietnam.
