Abstract

This paper introduces the research results applying Subset Simulation method (SuS) in the reliability analysis of the structure with high dimensions, small failure probabilities. The paper explored the SuS method, Markov chain and Monte Carlo sampling (MCMC). The article also analyzed the reliability of a specific underground structure with high dimensions, small failure probabilities. From the obtained results, we propose problems related to analysis of the structural reliability with high dimensions and small failure probabilities.
