* Preventing a Division of Vietnam’s National Unity by Solving Ethnic and Religious Issues in the Khmer Community in Soc Trang Province

Abstract

Ethnicity and religion are sensitive issues that affect many aspects of social life. Taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to obstruct national unity and the revolutionary cause of our Party and people is a possible conspiracy of opposing forces aiming to disrupt national unity. With more than 30% of its population being of Khmer ethnicity, Soc Trang is an area with many underlying ethnic and religious problems. The article reviews some achievements of the fight against the plots of possibly hostile forces and proposes some solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work in the Khmer community in Soc Trang province.
