Abstract

Energy recovery and reuse from the boom lifting system of hydraulic excavators contribute to energy savings and a reduction in harmful emissions during machine operation. To achieve high system efficiency, an intelligent control strategy is required. In this study, the energy recovery and reuse system is modeled and simulated using the Amesim software, while a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is employed to coordinate energy management between the hydraulic pump and the electric generator. Simulation results indicate that the energy recovery efficiency reaches approximately 57.1%, whereas the energy demand required to drive the main pump is reduced by about 43.3%.
