Abstract
Saint Augustine (354-430) was an influential theologian and philosopher of Christianity and Western philosophy. His thought had a profound influence on the Western worldview. The article indicates an overview of the biography and typical works of Saint Augustine. Besides, it mainly introduces some basic contents of his Christian philosophy such as the relationship between knowledge and faith, the creation and management of the world of God, the theistic existentialism, the philosophy of the human condition and morality, etc. The article shows the historical significance, and influences of this famous Algerian theologian on the history of philosophy.
