Abstract
This article outlines a deity that is forming in the life of the Vietnamese community in Japan today that is the scholar Tran Dong Phong (1884-1908) of the Dong Du movement (journey to the East) in the early 20th century (his grave is in Tokyo). The worship of this deity has been formed in the context of cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan, in which the legacy of the Dong Du movement is significant as a fundamental resource. This article chooses a detailed narrative method, starting from the writer’s own experience.
