STUDY ON CHARACTERISTICS AND MEANING OF CATHOLICS’ MARRIAGE IN VIETNAM

Abstract

For Catholics, marriage has a particularly important role and meaning. The Sacrament of Marriage is a sign of God’s holiness and blessing on the family. Catholic marriage is unitary and inseparable for the purpose of procreation and education of children. On the one hand, Catholic marriage is to help people be responsible for marriage, reduce the increasing number of divorces, and create a perfect and holy family, on the other hand, it also raises some problems such as obstacles to divorce when a couple is unhappy, or natural population growth in some places.
