Synthesis and antitumor activity of some amide derivatives bearing 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-amine
Abstract
In continuance of the previous studies on synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-amines in good yields by condensation of semicarbazide and the corresponding aldehydes followed by I2-mediated oxidative C-O bond formation with propionic anhydride as acylating agent, some amide derivatives of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-amine (2a–2k) were synthesized from 1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amines. Their identification was structurally confirmed by IR, MS, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. The obtained compounds were evaluated for Then, cytotoxicity activities. Of them, two amide derivatives demonstrated evident cytotoxic activity on MDA-MB-231 cell line with IC50 values of 62.45 µM and 89.4 µM.
