Abstract

Motivation is a crucial factor in stimulating students' critical thinking. Enhancing students' motivation for learning is a critical issue that many universities, including Khanh Hoa University, are currently concerned with. Previous research identified factors that influence students' motivation for learning. However, motivation for learning is a complex concept that is not solely determined by the students, but also depends on various other factors. Therefore, motivation for learning is constantly changing, and the influencing factors may vary depending on the research case. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the motivation for learning of Tourism students at Khanh Hoa University. The research data were collected directly from a survey of 250 second, third, and fourth-year Tourism students. The results of the research indicated that study conditions, learning environment, quality of instructors, training management, student affairs, and the curriculum had a positive impact on the motivation for learning of Tourism students at Khanh Hoa University. Based on these findings, the authors proposed solutions to contribute to improving students' motivation for learning in the future.
