Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Can Tho City when selecting accounting software (AS). Data was collected through direct surveys of 148 directors, deputy directors, and chief accountants from various companies. Analytical methods used included descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha test, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and multiple regression analysis. The research findings indicate that important factors in the decision to use AS include software features, user requirements, software costs, supplier reliability, after-sales service, and supplier support for business operations. Based on the research results, several managerial implications were proposed to assist accounting software companies in understanding the needs and preferences of their customers and developing appropriate business strategies.
