Research of mineral density, rate osteoporosis of bone femoral neck area in women over 40 years old using the DEXA method

Abstract

Researching bone mineral density (BMD), the rate of osteoporosis, femoral neck  in 305 women aged over 40, by dual energy X- ray absortiometry (DEXA), the results showed that BMD of femoral neck decreased with age and the rate of osteoporosis increased with age (above age 70 was 76.8%), BMD decreased with long time of menopause the rate of osteoporosis increased with long-term of menopause (70% over 10 years), and BMD reduced the number of births increased and the rate of osteoporosis increased with the number of births (and above births 5 was 76.9%).
