Factors Influencing Online Instruction: Insights from University EFL Lecturers in The Mekong Delta

This study examines EFL lecturers’ perceptions of factors influencing online teaching quality at a university in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 13 lecturers through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings indicate that internet connectivity (M=4.85), student engagement (M=4.54), and external distractions (M=4.38) were the most significant challenges. Conversely, class schedules (M=1.85) had minimal impact. The study underscores the need for enhanced technological infrastructure, interactive teaching methods, and professional training for lecturers.
