Factors affecting emotional commitment of medical staff at District 1 hospital

Abstract
The study was conducted to determine factors affecting the emotional commitment of
medical staff at District 1 Hospital to the organization. The analytical data were collected
through a convenience method with a large sample size of 222 medical staff working
at District 1 Hospital. The analytical methods used include testing scale reliability,
EFA exploratory factor analysis, and linear regression. The research results show that
three factors affect the emotional commitment of medical staff at District 1 Hospital
to the organization, namely motivation to serve the public, promotion opportunities,
and income satisfaction. These are important grounds for the author to propose highly
workable solutions to reducing the ongoing job-leaving situation at District 1 Hospital
in particular and grassroots-level hospitals in general. Thereby, the grassroots-level
hospitals will be able to fulfil the goal of primary health care for the people
