Strengthening the implementation of gender integration in social welfare policies - solutions to promoting sustainable gender equality
Keywords:
Abstract
This article focuses on gender integration in social welfare policies as a solution
to promoting sustainable gender equality. Despite progress in gender equality, women
and vulnerable groups still face overwhelming challenges in accessing their rights and
opportunities. Social welfare policies, with programs aiming at welfare protection and
enhancement, play a crucial role in building a fair society.
The article, which analyzes the current situation of gender integration in social welfare
policies in Ho Chi Minh City, underscores that the implementation remains ineffective and
requires improvements to meet the needs of both genders. Not only does gender integration
make programs more tailored but it also encourages women’s participation in economic
and social activities.
To achieve sustainable gender equality, the article proposes solutions such as
conducting gender analysis in policymaking, strengthening education and training,
providing childcare services, and boosting women’s economic empowerment. Through
these measures, the article aims to contribute to creating an equitable environment where
all individuals have equal opportunities to develop and benefit from fair and effective
social welfare policies
