The current situation and potential of AI applications in foreign language teaching and learning at some high schools in Da Nang City

Abstract
In the context of globalization and the rapid advancement of the information technology revolution, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into foreign language teaching and learning has increasingly become an inevitable trend. This paper focuses on analyzing the perceptions, attitudes, and levels of acceptance among teachers and students regarding the incorporation of AI into the teaching and learning process. Survey results indicate that AI not only creates numerous opportunities to foster innovation in teaching methodologies, enhance learner autonomy, and personalize learning experiences, but also poses certain challenges concerning technological competence, reliability, and the evolving role of teachers. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a number of highly applicable solutions aimed at effectively harnessing the potential of AI in foreign language education.
