Abstract

Research capacity plays a crucial role in enhancing training quality and affirming the academic reputation of universities in the context of internationalization. This paper examines the factors fostering research capacity at The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS), focusing on the synergy between internal mechanisms, enterprise collaboration, and global integration. Based on practical data from 2020-2025, the findings highlight that research support policies, academic training, and multilateral partnerships have contributed to shaping an open academic ecosystem. Using the Triple Helix framework, the paper analyzes the coordinated role of universities, businesses, and international partners in knowledge creation and in strengthening the value of applied research. The study proposes policy improvements and the design of supportive academic environments to promote sustainable research capacity development in higher education.
