Abstract

As a combat friend of Karl Marx and co-founder of the doctrine "Transforming the world", Friedrich Engels has left a huge spiritual legacy for the progressive mankind. His tireless creative career demonstrated the unity of revolution and science, knowledge and value, partisan and openness. The openness itself  presented in many works written together with Karl Marx or written separately, especially the works summarizing the Marxism of the nineteenth century, contained optimistic messages about the "kingdom of freedom” as the ideal goal of humanity, to replace the "kingdom of inevitability", as a necessary condition for a union where "one's free development is the condition for developing freedom of all people” [5, tr.628]
