Abstract
The socio-economic formation theory has garnered the attention of Western researchers since its early days. In addition to identifying the core nature of the perspectives of Western researchers in their assessment of the socio-economic formation theory and of Marxism as a whole, this article seeks to prove the scientific and revolutionary value of this theory with regard to the state of society and trends of motion in history and in doing so emphasizing the need for succession, creative application and development of Marxist socio-economic formation theory in modern conditions
