Abstract

In the context of intensifying globalization and competition within the tourism industry, researching the international tourism development experiences of regional counterparts holds significant implications for Vietnam. This article focuses on analyzing the current state and elucidating the factors influencing international tourism development in Myanmar. Based on these findings, the study proposes several strategic implications for Vietnam, including: expanding and upgrading modern, synchronous transport infrastructure networks to regions with high tourism potential; targeting tourists through strategic market segmentation; and enhancing the promotion of the nation’s image and people through collaborative activities with enterprises and professional associations. These insights provide a scientific and practical foundation for policy-making aimed at bolstering competitiveness and fostering Vietnam's international tourism development in the coming period.
