Abstract

In recent years, many countries have witnessed a trend of offenders trying to escape to a foreign country if their crimes, especially corruption crimes, were detected. In order to provide a legal basis for countries to extradite corruption criminals, The United Nations Convention against Corruption regulates the fundamental legal issues of extradition for this type of crime. However, over time, the practice of extradition of corruption criminals has faced many challenges. Firstly, the article analyzes the regulations on extradition in The United Nations Convention against Corruption; next, it also analyzes some challenges arising from the practice of extradition of corruption criminals.
