Abstract
Victims of violence against children suffer both physical and mental harm; thus they need to be protected by different measures. Currently, these measures are divided into two main groups: preventive measures and intervention measures. However, current practice shows that there remain many limitations, such as preventive measures still not limit the risk of violence against children, especially children of vulnerable groups; access to intervention measures is not ensured for groups of children, especially children in mountainous areas; essential services, such as psychological counselling and medical care, are not available; etc. By assessing the current status of protection measures for victims of violence against children, this article proposes several recommendations to improve the effectiveness of these measures in Vietnam.
