RETIREMENTAGEINCREASE – FROMTHEPERSPECTIVEOFCOST-BENEFITPOLICYANALYSISINLAW-MAKING

Abstract

The “retirement increase” policy provided in Article 187 of the draft Law on amendment and supplement of the 2012 Labour Code may solve the problems of  the social insurance fund being broken and the golden  population of Vietnam but also may lead to the unemployment of  young workforce, the instability of workers related to toxic areas, and etc. This paper clarifies the above mentioned issues  from the perspective of cost-benefit policy analysis.
