Applying information technology to raise the efficiency of procedural activities at court

Abstract

The paper analyses the trend of applying information technology at court  in the countries around the world and in Vietnam. It evaluates how much the current law of Vietnam meets the demands of applying information technology at court. The paper then offers solutions to promote the effectiveness and efficiency of applying information technology at court in Vietnam such as:  prioritising online lodgement of petitions; utilising electronic means as a main tool for sending documents to parties;  accepting online trial; recognising audio and video recordings as a type of minutes, and etc.
