New provisions on procedures for execution of imprisonment sentences of the 2019 Law on execution of criminal judgments and some recommendations

Abstract

The article analyzes and comments some new points of the Law on Enforcement of criminal Judgments 2019, including: procedures for the execution of imprisonment sentences, postponement, reduction, suspension, exemption from serving imprisonment penalty for a number of special elements such as  juveniles offenders, foreigners, people with fatal diseases...; It also  analyzes the new provisions of the Law on Enforcement of criminal Judgments in 2019 on the rights and obligations of offenders. From that, the article identifies the disadvantages of thereof provisions and proposes specific recommendations to improve the provisions on enforcement of imprisonment sentences of the  Law on Enforcement of criminal Judgments  2019.
