Marriage conditions in the laws of the UK, France and Malaysia under the comparative view

Abstract

Many different factors can affect the provisions on legal marriage conditions in the laws of each country which legal tradition is one of those factors. The article analyzes the provisions on marriage conditions in the UK, French, and Malaysian legal systems which represent different legal traditions. The article also compares aspects of marriageable age, voluntariness, the family relationship and matrimonial status, thereby points out the diversity of the laws on marriage conditions in these three countries.
