Abstract

Vietnam has become a member of the United Nations since 1977; it has been 44 years until now. During that time, Vietnam has always endeavored to fulfill its membership obligations and is considered as a “Responsible member” in the operations of the United Nations in particular and the international community in general. The article analyzes the achievements in the relationship between Vietnam and the United Nations in each stage of development. It also points out the challenges that Vietnam is facing in the forseeable future.
