Guaranteeing the uniformity and consistency in regulations on settlement of land disputes

Abstract

Nowadays, land disputes are the most common and complicated type of disputes in Vietnam, given the provision on the people’s collective ownership of the land and the related land-use right. The settlement of land disputes also faces many difficulties and problems. This situation is caused by the lack of uniformity and consistency among regulations governing the settlement of land disputes. The article analyzes the lack of uniformity and consistency among regulations governing the settlement of land disputes and their negative impacts, and proposes some solutions to improve the legal framework on the settlement of land disputes.
