Abstract

In the Covid-19 pandemic, the Security Council, which takes primary responsibilities for maintaining international peace and security, has issued Resolution 2532 and Resolution 2565) to respond to the pandemic. The two resolutions consolidate the Security Council's practice in responding to transboundary pandemics. This article analyzes the roles of the Security Council in maintaining international peace and security according to the United Nations Charter, studying the Security Council's practice in responding to transboundary pandemics, thereby comparing and evaluating the role of the Security Council in the Covid-19.
