Basic theoratical issues on legislative technique

Abstract

As one of the important issues in legislation, legislative technique is not only closely linked to the effectiveness of law enforcement in practice but also considered a key criterion to define the comprehensiveness of a legal system, and thus determine the short or long “life-span” of a legal normative document. On this basis, the paper analyses various approaches on legislative technique definition, its role, constituent components, and principles to form a backdrop for development of initial scientific bases for theoratical issues on legislative technique in Vietnam in the current period.
