The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - A lesson of combining national strength with the strength of the era
Abstract
Fifty years ago, under the leadership of the Party, the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring 1975, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, successfully ended the resistance war against the United States, saved the country, completely liberated the South Vietnam and reunified the country. This victory “... will forever be recorded in our national history as one of the most brilliant pages, a shining symbol of the complete victory of revolutionary heroism and human intelligence, and will go down in world history as a great feat of the 20th century, an event of great international importance and profound contemporary significance”. The Great Victory of Spring 1975 left us with valuable achievements and lessons of lasting value, one of which is to combine national strength with the strength of the times. This lesson needs to be further studied and applied to the construction and development of Vietnam in the new era under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
