The Role of journalism in promoting the development of cultural industries in Vietnam

In the context of a global shift towards a knowledge-based economy, Vietnam having a rich cultural heritage and a dynamic young creative workforce, is considered to have significant potential for cultural industry development. Alongside policies, infrastructure, and human resources, journalism, as an official information channel and a mass media tool, holds a crucial position in driving the growth of cultural industries. This article examines the role of journalism in fostering cultural industry development in Vietnam by analyzing various aspects of media influence, including raising awareness, promoting products, shaping public aesthetic tastes, policy critique, and ecosystem connectivity. Additionally, it identifies limitations and challenges, offering some recommendations.
