Peace - Vietnam’s goal and aspiration in the new era of development

Abstract

Peace is a common aspiration, a universal value of humankind, a prerequisite for the existence and development of every nation and people, transcending all geographical and cultural barriers. In harmony with the current of human history, based on the creative application of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, inheriting and promoting the nation’s traditional values and the cultural quintessence of humankind, the Communist Party of Vietnam affirms that peace is the first objective in the system of goals leading the country into a new era of national development. This article focuses on clarifying the theoretical and practical basis for determining the goal of peace from the historical process of the Vietnamese revolution.
