Abstract

There is a historical truth that for a long time, in studies on the August Revolution of 1945, whether published in Vietnam or abroad, has not been thoroughly studied, creating an “academic gap” for some individuals and some forces to exploit and propagate to distort history, in order to cause incorrect perceptions about the revolution. The article focuses on analyzing the Party’s strategic line after the Japanese coup against the French, clarifying the unparalleled creativity of the Party and the Viet Minh Front, to neutralizing the Japanese army, neutralizing the plot of the French colonialists; efforts to prevent and neutralize the plot to to re-establish the colonial regime of the French; uniting the entire nation, resolutely protecting the independence and the right to live in freedom of the Vietnamese people in the second half of August 1945.
