Abstract

In the 80-year history of Vietnam’s National Assembly, the first National Assembly stands as a brilliant milestone, leaving a profound imprint. The National Assembly was established in a special context when the nation faced a precarious “thousand-pound weight hanging by a thread” situation. It adopted the 1946 Constitution based on principles of democracy, unity, and strong, enlightened governance. Under the Party’s leadership, the first National Assembly closely accompanied the nation, excellently fulfilling its greatest task of successful resistance warfare. Thus, the first National Assembly holds immense significance and enduring value.
