Educating cultural etiquette for high school students in the context of strong cultural interchange via social media

Abstract

The rapid development of social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram has created opportunities for exposure to and learning from diverse cultures. However, it also poses challenges for students, as they are influenced by various lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural values. Through the study of high school students' expressions of cultural etiquette and the analysis of both the positive and negative impacts of social media on their behavior, this article highlights the role of cultural etiquette education for high school students within the context of intensive cultural interchange via social media in Vietnam. Finally, it proposes effective educational solutions to address these challenges.
