Abstract

The subject Power Electronics is a basic specialized subject in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Industrial Electricity, in which the complex circuit structure and complex working process of converter technology make it difficult for teaching process. In this paper, taking the Forward Converter circuit as an example, the teaching implementation is introduced using the MATLAB simulation tool SIMULINK. By applying this software, a circuit simulation model will be built. As a result, simulation graphs are obtained and problems appearing in the experiment are easily analyzed. A test comparing teaching effectiveness shows that students can quickly acquire theoretical knowledge about electrical circuits using simulation tools. Thus, the teaching goal has been well achieved because the problems of traditional teaching methods have been overcome, besides, students can do assigned exercises without having to register to use the laboratory. Well implementing the school’s policy of building 30% of online learning hours on the LMS platform.
