In recent years, mountainous areas in Vietnam have frequently encountered many types of natural disasters, especially dangerous landslides, with increasing frequency, intensity and speed. Most recently, in early September 2024, after Typhoon Yagi and its remnants caused heavy rain in the northern provinces, flash floods and tornadoes occurred dangerously. A typical case is the flash flood in Nu village (Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province), causing heavy damage to people and property. Therefore, it is necessary to study the situation of landslides in mountainous areas of Vietnam and preventive and mitigation solutions to implement the educational philosophy: “Intensive training, linked to practice, encouraging creativity, international integration, for the quality of life and environmental protection” of the school
