Lady Nam Phuong is one of the sacred deities widely respected and worshiped in the spiritual culture of the Vietnamese people. The legend of Lady Nam Phuong is associated with mysterious anecdotes, creating deep faith in the hearts of the people. Tien Nga Temple is the main place to worship Lady Nam Phuong, where people express their respect. We study “Legend of Lady Nam Phuong and relics of Tien Nga Temple in Hai Phong” to clarify the relationship between legends, relics about a historical and divine figure, symbolizing the power in the worship of Mother Goddesses in Hai Phong. In the article, we go from legends to relics; from folk literature to folk culture to affirm the mark of Lady Nam Phuong in legends and folk culture in general, in the cultural life of Hai Phong people in particular.
