SOME METHODS TO IMPROVE ENGLISH LEARNING ABILITY FOR STUDENTS

Abstract

Learning a foreign language, particularly English, involves developing four key skills: listening,
speaking, reading, and writing, along with acquiring grammar and vocabulary. Listening and reading are
classified as receptive skills, while speaking and writing are considered productive skills. As a global
language, English holds significant importance for university students due to its practical applications
and relevance in various fields. Each skill plays a crucial role in language acquisition, and mastering
them is essential for effective communication. This study aims to examine the current proficiency levels
of English skills among students in Mien Trung University of Civil Engineering and propose effective
methods to enhance their English learning abilities.
