ABSTRACT
Subject-based teaching is a general trend in educational innovation in the general program Literature
2018 (issued together with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDĐT). The article aims to exploit the requirements
when building and teaching the topic of modern Vietnamese short stories in teaching Literature 11. The
requirements are set out from clearly defining the topic objectives, defining knowledge, content, structure and
diversification of methods and measures testing and assessment in teaching.
