ABSTRACT
Finance and financial management in schools is a very central area of management of principals. In
the context of innovation towards financial autonomy, the management requires schools to be dynamic
and creative on the basis of the State's regulations on economic management. Public primary schools are
administrative and career units, with new requirements on financial management requiring school principals
to be trained and updated with current financial management skills.
