Abstract: In this article, the authors develop an over-current relay module with a time characteristic curve according to the IEC 60255 standard using Matlab/Simulink. The module is used to simulate the protection system for the line and test it on a 22kV power system. The simulation results show that the time characteristics of the module are accurate and reliable compared to the actual relay protection system. The authors discuss its application in training at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Vinh University of Technical Education and also the development of this research in the future.
